The European Journey: LL.M. Fall Tour 2016

This year the Find your LL.M. team was particularly looking forward to the fall edition of our famous LL.M. Tour for two reasons. First, we were going to be travelling and meeting different students in four different locations, including two new cities: Geneva & Luxembourg. And second, this edition received a lot of interest in terms of registration from brilliant students all across Europe. The universities were pleased with the quality of the attendees, who all shared a common passion for law. They were all keen to join us again next year to meet even more dedicated legal aspirants.

The first stop on our tour was Geneva. Even though we did not get to visit the United Nations, we made the most of our time by meeting a lot of curious and interesting students. Many already had their minds set on specific LL.M. programs, but kept an open mind about the career prospects different schools could offer. We obviously couldn’t leave without enjoying a delicious melted cheese fest – priorities oblige.

Our next stop took us to the city of lights: Paris. The tour took place in a lovely co-working space in the historical 10th arrondissement. Students from all over France joined us to make this event a real success. Many were excited to meet international universities and take a step towards achieving their dream of studying in an environment which exudes excellence. A few nibbles here, a few questions there, thanks again for having us Paris!

The LL.M. Tour then took us to Brussels for the biggest surprise of the week. The day started with a conference at the prestigious U.L.B., where we got a chance to give a tutorial on CV and cover letter writing. We were amazed by the sheer number of students who were able to make it this year. The quality of their profiles also wowed us.

The final stop of our tour took us to Luxembourg. Although this was probably the event which had the smallest number of attendees we still enjoyed meeting the students that did come to our event. The day could not have ended on a better note than by having a drink with our partners from all universities, that made this whole event a wonderful accomplishment.
